Farm2Future: A Collective Collaboration
Farm2Future started out as a question – how can we collectively change the world’s food future for the better? The answer to what seemingly is an insurmountable challenge starts with the basics. If you eat better, you feel better. If you feel better you, you think better. If you think better, you can do better. If we just do one better every day, we will make a difference.
It starts with the food we put in our bodies, especially young people. The problem is that healthy food choices are incredibly limited. Your neighborhood grocery story has thousands of food options, but too much of it is over-processed and full of ingredients that are hard to spell, let alone eat. If your grocery store even has a health food aisle, your options are often too expensive and not that tasty, which is a key “ingredient” to getting kids to eat better.
The PopCorners’ mission is to create a wholesome, nutritious, and great-tasting snack. To accomplish this, it was necessary to start at the source – with the farmers who grow non-GMO grain. Each one has a family farm and kids of their own. Each one is committed to offering only the healthiest and highest quality crops they can grow for the PopCorners product.
It doesn’t stop there. From farms in the Midwest to our plant in the Hudson Valley, where the crops are popped and pressed into chips, PopCorners oversees every step of the journey to ensure they become healthy snacks that kids (and adults) can eat and enjoy. When they finally end up in the hands of your family, you can rest assured you’re eating something that’s good for you and brought to you by a team who cares about our collective food future.
The Intersection of Young People and a Brighter Food Future
Enter Farm2Future. Given PopCorners went to such extremes to create a healthier, higher quality product, they decided to launch a social initiative to more directly educate and engage the young people who will ensure the viability of a healthy food future. The Farm2Future team emerged with this mission as a driving focus. Today we proudly build relationships between our farmers and kids in youth organizations and schools. We educate them about why making great food choices is important. We provide the tools and know-how, so our youth can create their own gardens. We inspire them to develop a meaningful, emotional connection to the food they eat, who grows it, who makes it, and the real value of healthy eating.
But we can’t do it alone. This is a collective mission that involves everyone – farmers, families, kids, teachers, counselors… everyone who is a resident on our planet needs to care about where we’re going with the food we grow and eat. We invite you to join this important movement and the embrace the collective responsibility we share to bringing a brighter food future to everyone.
All we ask is that you strive to Do One Better™ every day. Be the best version of yourself. Eat better, feel better, think better, do better.
